Vascular Surgery, Department of Surgical Sciences University of Insubria, Varese, Italy We present the case of a carotid stump syndrome in a 72-year-old woman with a 3-day history of recurrent transient ischemic attacks. Computed tomographic angiography showed the occlusion of the ipsilateral internal carotid artery, and the presence of an internal stump with ophtalmic reverse flow, confirming the suspect of a stump syndrome. The patient underwent stent-graft exclusion of the carotid stump; she was last seen 12 months after the procedure when she remained totally asymptomatic.
