Ruptured Extracranial Carotid Artery AneurysmCase Report and Review of the Literature
Department of Vascular Surgery, General Hospital Lainz, Vienna, Austria The authors report a case of spontaneous rupture of an atherosclerotic aneurysm of the extracranial internal carotid artery. The aneurysm was successfully resected, and blood flow to the brain was restored by vein graft interposition.
