Delayed Jejunal Artery Pseudoaneurysm: An Unusual Sequela of Penetrating Abdominal TraumaA Case Report
Department of Surgery, St. Louis University Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri Posttraumatic pseudoaneurysm of the mesenteric vasculature is rare. The authors describe the case of a forty-seven-year-old man with a jejunal artery pseudoaneurysm eleven years after a stab wound to the abdomen. The patient underwent exploratory laparotomy and ligation of the pseudoaneurysm. Late sequelae of missed superior mesenteric artery injury include superior mesenteric arteriovenous fistula and pseudoaneurysm.
