Department of Surgery, Guthrie Medical Center, Sayre, Pennsylvania Carotid artery aneurysms are rare. Three cases of carotid artery aneurysms, one false, one ruptured, and one nonruptured are presented. All were treated successfully without complications. Relevant literature regarding pathophysiology, differential diagnosis, and options in surgical treatment is reviewed.
