A New Operative Procedure for Correction of Kinked Carotid Artery

The historical development of sur gical correction of the kinked carotid artery is traced. A new procedure for the straightening of the kinked ca rotid artery with atheromatous plaque and cannulation of the vessel to ensure cerebral perfusion during arteriotomy is presented.
