Primary Mycotic Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Due to Candida—A Case Report

A sixty-eight-year-old man with a huge abdominal aortic aneurysm devel oped disseminated candidiasis immediately after surgery. Candida organisms were present in the aneurysm content in the blood and, later, in the brush speci mens of the lungs. The authors believe that this is the first reported abdominal mycotic aneurysm due to Candida.
